St Columba Church Sunset October 1 2015

June 01, 2018

Lord, teach me to be patient, with life, with people and with myself. Teach me to trust Your sense of timing rather than my own, and to surrender my will to your greater and wiser plan. Teach me to slow down enough to appreciate life and all it holds. Amen.

PRINCIPAL’S CORNER:

Dear Families,

On behalf of the entire St. Columba Community I would like to extend my Congratulations to the     Class of 2018. We are proud of the many accomplishments that the students in this class have achieved throughout their years at St. Columba. It is the mission of Catholic education to prepare our students with a foundation that will allow them to go forth in life with a strong faith in God and themselves. It is our hope and prayer that through faith, St. Columba’s graduates will use their gifts wisely to be personally successful and to share their talents and gifts with others less fortunate.

St. Columba’s Class of 2018 will graduate on Saturday, June 9, 2018. We send them off with the best of wishes for a bright future and pray God will continue to bless each graduate with love, peace, and happiness.

The last week of school will be a busy one for us. On Monday, June 4th, following the Student Assembly, I will host one last Coffee with the Principal. Please come and join me for some coffee and treats. There will also be field day for Grades K-7 led by the YMCA and teachers. Students are allowed to wear their PE uniforms all day. The teachers and graduates will have their annual volleyball game beginning at 1:30pm. We welcome you to join us.

On Thursday, June 7th, students are allowed to wear free dress. “Move it On Up Day” is scheduled on this day from 1:00-130pm. Students will move on up to the next grade level and get to know their teacher and a preview of what to expect for the 2018/2019 school year.

Friday is the last day of the 2018/2019 school year. Following Mass we will hold the Honor Roll/ Awards Ceremony in church.

Blessings,

Ms. Navarro

PRAYERS: Please continue to keep in prayer all our families and extended families who are experiencing difficult times. Our St. Columba community is a true blessing.

THANK YOU: Thank you, to all our families, extended families, alumni, parishioners, men’s club and friends for all your wonderful support throughout the year.
